I Don't Really Need to Be Distracted But...

A couple of friends have been posting photos on Facebook made with an iPhone app called Hipstamatic. I had to have it!

Basically it allows you to take photos that have a toy camera or old film kinda vibe. There are three different lens choices and three different film choices.

I was a doofus and forgot to note what combos I used for these. I will do better next time.

Photography and Life

Life is good. I mean really good. I am doing life in a wonderful way these days. That is why I am so scarce here. My blog is suffering, but my family is thriving. A worthy trade say I.

So, a friend is doing a collaborative photography project. My interest is piqued. I am showing more interest in photography lately because it is a means to be creative with less stuff in more manageable time segments. I can feed my need without getting overwhelmed I guess. So, I decided I would join in Chrysti's project... at least for this round.
The prompt was "decorate." Here is my response...

Early summer in North Carolina. It has been a cool season thus far thankfully. I am not a girl who likes the sweltering heat. I do love my garden. The best part about it is that I didn't have to plant it. The lady we bought the house from was a horticulturalist. I have every variety of lilly you can imagine, and hundreds of other things I can't name. It is glorious in spring and summer. I have added a bit to the garden.

I can see this vignette through my front door. It is a little courtyard at the entry to the house enclosed by a lovely rock wall. The contrast of the flowers, along with the faucet stuck in the ground, and the beautiful metal hummingbird and flower stake by my friend Lewis just make me smile right down to my toes.
