Quick Fly By

I am working in a series right now of buildings/houses with trees and flowers. I didn't set out for it to be a series, but it seems to be evolving that way. each one I paint is more complex, layered and detailed than the last. I particularly love playing with interesting color combinations, and light and shadow on the building facades.
The piece picture above was painted for entry into a juried show held by the Junior League of Raleigh. The show theme is "Town and Country." I am sending my entry this week. I'll let you know if it juries in.
