And Poppy again

I am continuing to work at it. I am not happy with the background. It is too purple, and the copper is not subtle enough. I need to clean up the bottom dirt and water sections and add detailing there. I am happy with the bloom and the stem. Phew, I wanna finish this!

Once it is done, I am planning to have it photographed, and offer Giclee's via my Etsy site. I am also going to offer the poppy, and a couple of my bird paintings in giclee.

And for the curious, I am adding a picture of my work table. I am not happy with my lighting situation. I need to add a diffuser to the light I think. The glare is bothering me.

My Studio is a nice space that is separate from our main house. I have two work surfaces, and plenty of storage space. The only drawbacks are the lack of good heat, and no running water. I heat with an electric space heater or a kerosene heater, and I run back and forth to the house for water.

It is working for me!

Oh, and yes, the string of lights are bass. My FIL gave them to me for Christmas a couple of years ago.

Thanks for entering my giveaway and I would love to be added to your blogroll. When I went to your blog, I too said...I know her from somewhere! LOL I went to Art & Soul last may and that is where we must have met. There are not many people who I would recongnize from there as it was a whirlwind experience. I did do charms for my trade there. It was either the time flies one or the starfish. I love your art. I will be adding you to my blogroll too if you don't mind.

Hi Amy! I'm not sure if I entered your draw or not, as it was a mad rush for me, being a late entrant, but I'm here now and greatly admiring this gorgeous poppy. I understand the criticisms you made about it, and would even agree, but if you never finished it, I think its stunning. I love it.
I shall be back to have another look, but meanwhile I shall add you to my blogroll.
Take care, Susie.
