New Year Goals

Good morning world!
Today is the first day of the new year for me., Yes, I am aware that it is January 9. It has just taken me this long to get my goals, and priorities in order and begin putting them into practice.
At the end of last year, we were given a diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome for our son. This means a variety of things. He is extremely inteilligent, and working above the average for his age on schoolwork, but he has poor frustration tolerance, and has meltdowns from time to time. In all of my research I kept reading that structure and organization are key to help keeping Asperger's kids on track. ACK! I am an ADD artist. I have no clue about structure or organization. It doesn't matter though, I will figure it out to help the boy!
So, we have a daily and weekly schedule now, and I can so totally see how this is going to help me too. I have set a goal to have at least 10 non-negotiable hours of studio time each week. If I put it on the schedule, and also schedule the time when I am going to do housework, errands etc... it is going to be so easy for me to keep that commitment. I don't have to worry about whether the laundry is done or the house is clean during my studio time, because I know that those tasks are scheduled for other times, and wil get done! Amazing!
So, now I am chipping away at my 30 minutes of internet time I scheduled for this morning.
Here is my entire (art related) goal list ( I have personal list but y'all aren't going to see that one here!)
- 10 or more hours of non-negotiable studio time each week
- submit work for publishing to Cloth, Paper, Scissors and/or Somerset and/or Expression
- get my work into 2 (or more) galleries
- post 3 (or more) pieces for sale on ebay each week
- do 2 (or mort) art fairs
- sell $5000 (or more) worth of artwork
- limit myself to 3 swap projects/month
- blog weekly & promote my blog by linking & other methods (need to research this)

I think that is it!
I may add to these as the year goes on, but I think this is a good start for me.
This week I need to get a good business card design created, and get my ebay listings up. Right now, I am signing off here, and headed to the studio to create!

Happy Arting!
